Welcome to Adelaide Oval Bowling Club

Thank you for visiting. Welcome. Our club was formally named in 1902 when it joined in competition with the Adelaide Bowling Club. It’s bowling green was behind the old western stand at the Adelaide Oval but in 2007 it was asked by the Cricket Association to relocate so that the Oval redevelopment could take place. It is somewhat ironical that AOBC is now co-located with it’s first competitor, Adelaide Bowling Club, in the parkland on Dequetteville Terrace. As such we are tenants and assist the ABC in covering the cost of looking after the three greens and the facilities needed for club operations. Our bowling club is a not-for-profit association. On Tuesday mornings, subject to weather, our members enjoy informal bowling. A uniform is not needed and it is a social occasion with much fellowship. In summer months members may offer to be chosen to play against other clubs in the pennant competition. A club tournament is also arranged for those wishing to test their skills against fellow members. Our President and the Club’s committee welcome you to join the activities on any Tuesday morning to see whether you might enjoy the atmosphere of club membership. If inclined please use the Contact Us window to register your enquiry. I or another club member will host your visit. Secretary
